yeah, I am using it in the studio as well. My stuff is mostly along the lines of like the Chemical Brothers. But a set of funky breaks (Fatboy slim style) always seems to find their way in there as well.
A while back, I ran into a couple of djs downtown who were using live. I got their names and was going to setup an Austin Live Users group with whoever was in the area, but ended up getting pulled away and having to travel like crazy for my job.
Luckily, my work is finally settling down and I am getting back to being focused on music.

I'm about an hour north of Austin.
Guitarist/Bassist/Keyboardist/Percussionist/Producer.
(Ain't that a mess....lol You should see me live......HAHA)
I do freelance performance work, give lessons, guitar tech, engineer/produce, and create arrangements and beats for solo artists, as well as being a member of three different 'bands'.
I've been using Live for a few months now, I was using ACID before. It dosen't even compare... Though I do like to use ACID for mastering, it's just simpler...
Live has become my main DAW, and my amp/fx chain for playing live( I don't even use an amp anymore, tho' i still use pedals, cause I make them myself).
