Live lite 4 and midi controllers

Post by Ikay » Tue Nov 07, 2006 6:26 am

Hi,

Im new to this forum. so sorry if this is not the place to be asking this question.

I am looking to purchase a Behringer UMX 25 keyboard , together with a Behringer BCR 2000 B-control( Rotary). My other choice would be the M-Audio PCR M 30. But Im probably going to lean towards the combination of the Behringer products because of the value for money. Im relatively new to music production but already own Reason 3 and Cubase SX 3. I'm Currently saving upto purchase Live 6.

* I would like to get some opinions on the above midi controllers or any other in the market for a beginer like me.Preferably in the USD 75 - 300 range.

* The Behringer UMX 25 comes with Ableton Live lite 4 Behringer Edition. Am I able to save any of the tunes i create on that sotware or do i have to upgrade to a ful version?

* I know that there's a discounted price when upgrading to live6 I want to know if that price applies for the Behringer Live lite edition aswel?

Thankyou.

I don't know about the pricing, but you'll be able to save from Live Lite 4. I used it for months and it was a great introduction to Live. I believe you'll also be able to upgrade it to Live Lite 5 for free (I upgraded mine before finally buying the full version of Live 5).

good luck!

Bill

Thanks alot mate.

So when upgrading to the full version, did you have to pay the full price or was it less as you were upgrading from Live Lite?

You have to pay less since you are upgrading from Live Lite.
