I know if my cat was gone I'd be a fucking basket case.
Like someone else might have said, Is he a male cat? Fixed?
(more like broken if you ask me

)
Cause a lot of times, Toms really don't wander till they get a whiff of the old kitty tang. If he's in a new place, he might have gone trailing and gotten lost or whatever. Maybe check around for other female cats in the area he might be trying to smoke out.
Of course if you've snipped him, this won't be the reason,
you sick cruel bastard!
just kidding, I hope you find him.

yeah he's fixed.
I just went back to the old place for a little bit but he wasn't around.

the 'so i was hating on the splash screen' thread.
It's funny and horrific at the same time. I thought about using the chick but I'm not a girl, the guy that looks like Lurch in the background was busting a travolta-esque move that fit into a small pic.
You gotta send that pic to the Phat Conductor. It'd go perfect with his promo shot.

At my parents house one cat dissapears as another shows up. It's some kind of feline revolving door. There was this one cat my father called numb-nuts, who would stand on his hind legs for close to a minute whenever I came home from classes. I would pet him as I started to wonder if he was a biped, then one day, he vanished, and within a week, the new guy showed up (Sota).
My parents have a Ko'i pond in the backyard, and my dad sculpts basalt stone. It's the perfect place for cats to chill. They hunt the toads, crawl around my father's crazy contraptions, its an awesome place. We have never had more than two at a time though...
The cat world is far more complicated than ours. We are just too dumb to see it. I think my old cat smokey wondered off to die, to spare us from the pain. He was a part of the family, and seemed to be aware of everyone's lives somehow...

well if my cat doesn't come back then my girlfriends cat is gonna move in (it's at her parents house right now). the landlord said only one cat would be okay and my cat won cause he didn't have anywhere else to go. so girlfriend will be happy about that even though shes also bummed that my cat is gone. we are about to walk the neighborhood for an hour or so.
I just stopped in the old neighborhood and kept chasing cats to see if it was him. though none of them were.

I think:
"Better find the thing quick and kill it before it can do too much damage."
Cats should never be allowed outside or out of their cat cage, at night especially.

i am posting this without reading the whole thread, but i know how lame a missing loved one can be, especially a kitty.
just know cats DO NOT GET LOST. so your kitty knows where it is and can find its way home. cat's sometimes up and split, sometimes for a little while, sometimes for a few days. cats are known to have affairs with neighbors. they might find some grub somewhere else and hang out there or just go explore. as long as your kitty was not hit by a car or abducted by a satanic cult it will come home. unless of course you abused it then maybe it will just split for good.
but hang in there, i am sure it will return

I yelled at him now and then but other than that I treated him good.
he most likely wasn't hit by a car as he's such a wuss when it comes to anything moving or noisey. make a noise in the room and he's likely to up and split.
so he's possibly abducted or just hunting around for kicks.

Man...this brings back memories of my own cat who disappeared about 10 years ago. He was always running around outside and one day didn't come home. I searched for him but never found him. Then my alcoholic neighbor said that he thought he saw him dead on the side of the road but wasn't sure because it was raining. I didn't want to believe it but I searched the street anyway, where he said he saw him. Whatever he did see was apparantly scooped up by the street cleaners or something because the corpse was gone. I never did find him which made it all the harder to accept what was probably true. It's harder to grieve also when you don't have any certainty of what happened. So, I really hope you have better luck than I did and your cat comes back to you alive and happy to see you.
Peace,
--B

My cats never get to go out without me holding them or having them on a leash!
Seriously, there are way too many dangers (cars, freakey people, dogs, disease, accidents, etc...).
The difference in life span between indoor/outdoor cats is huge.
With all due respect.
That's no way to keep a cat. That's cruel.

Wicked that the cat has returned. A similar thing happend with mine. I was in bits until, 2 weeks later, he returned.
After this experience the way you have to treat cats is they come and go. The one I refer to above now lives three doors downas he likies the company of the old lady there and hates the two other cats we have living with us. We're all happy.
Anyway...I'm chuffed for you mate.
