powerbook G4 12inches and live 3.O
i have a big problem in multitracks audio recording and sound restitution in the playback mode, cracks and stops in the sound that prevent me to perform my live with a CPU surcharge.
i am obliged to record one track by one like that i have not cracks in the sound;
my configuration is:
a Mac powerbook G4 12" with Mac OS X v. 2.3, speed 867 Mhz and speed of the bus 133 Mhz, 128 Mg of DIMM built-in and 128 Mg of DIMM DDR SDRAM
no external HD but 40 Gigs of memory
LIVE 3.0
MOTU 828mkII soundcard in FIREWIRE
i have set up the buffersize to 512, with a latency of 11ms
everything is correctly installed
i really don't understand where the problem comes from
to many different answers like stability problems of mac OSX
not enough RAM
buy a external HD...
PLEASE HELLLLLLPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have a live to perform in 1 month....i am desperated!!!!

still the problem
Random Audio Dropouts is happening with many of the users.
No it doesn't have something to do with the buffer size nor RAM. People with the latest
Powerbooks, people with the latest OSX, people with latest 828mk2 users, are all
complaing about this RANDOM AUDIO DROP OUTS !
This problem has not been fixed for a pretty long time, and people are still complaing.
Check out the forums.
Amazing how everyone is still having the same problem.
DO NOT USE LIVE4 ON STAGE !!
or you will get a very loud RIP from the SPEAKERS.
i repeat,
OSX, MOTU USERS, DO NOT USE LIVE4 ON STAGE.
untill ableton decides to fix the bug.
