Christ. Why do such polarised opinions about Sasha get distorted so badly in forums? I'll tell you exactly why right now. Anyone who's a fan of house music likes the majority of Sasha'a sets, Some people just cannot stomach what the 'brand' represents. Digweed never got the same criticism. He'd just turn up, try his absolute hardest, but stand motionless throughout, and the crowd loved it. Its all down to porn, anyway. Men don't watch porn to watch some other guy nail that gorgeous girl. They watch it thinking they're the guy. Men, generally, don't go to Sasha gigs because they like looking at Sasha 6-feet away. They go because they'd love to play 'those' tracks, in front of 'that' audience. Wouldn't anyone? But they wouldn't be into the promo aspect of trying to wear Wayfarers convincingly. British men cannot wear Wayfarers. It's that bit that breaks the illusion. They could maybe get their hands on this tune, but there's no way they'd wear those things in a nightclub, or any public place. That's the bit that sets the brands apart from the audience. Digweed's hair is becoming a problem in this respect, though. There were a few raised eyebrows when he changed to the Shaggy Dog look, but now, after changing it again.... There's a MySpace account discussing it. People leave messages to it. Seriously.
Whoever is Sasha's PR then they deserve their weight in gold.
