The US built the rest of the world. Re-organising parts of it that have gone wrong seems a logical thing to do every so often.

Blimey, I know they say history is written by the victors, but that's a pretty extreme interpretation of that philosophy - did your school library just throw out all their history reference books and replace them with John Wayne movies?

so the pyramids? Eiffel tower? Taj Mahal? ancient Rome? - the US put it all there to test us like god did with the dinosaurs.

Oh man that's beautiful

thankyou for that, that's given me a really good chuckle

...And stop playing Civilization game. Mr Last One.

Every so often we get a close minded troll to remind us that being critical about our surroundings and skeptical about politics and the media and such is so important.
This help us see propaganda and live in a better place.

I would never even try to get into any argument with someone who doesn't have the slightest idea about history and geopolitics. Let alone someone who says WE.
You and your "we" are responsible for most of the hatred that kills AMERICANS lately.

So yeah a vote for Republicans was a vote for more soldiers to die, less freedom for US citizens and more bullying around , not signing treaties etc...
Dems won't solve much but they might correct a few mistakes.
And maybe give us a better image when we meet other cultures.
The world is NOT black and white. Nor Noisy or Silenced...

Please please please, stay in America, in bubble-f*ck something. don't move and don't try to be an artist either. You can't.
thank you

I object. We were out pissing on the world's lampposts and generally screwing everybody over long before the US started getting involved.

Sad part is The last One is just a troll, and you are making yourself look like a fool by playing into his supposed ideology. M. Breqs, I wish I could reach into the future and pull you 20 years from now back here to the past to let you know that your intentions, while pure, have led to a situation where you side with bigots, even when it should be obvious that it's a joke. What I'm saying is I think at some point you'll come to terms with the real concept of freedom, instead of this football team thing your doing now. I think you'll figure it out eventually.

I'm running a campaign to rid the forum of OT rubbish.

Peace. Bill Clinton for the first man. We can live with Hilary as President.

The point is, Last One, that you and your kind have LOST and lost bad. The big conservative project of Tom Delay's to create a "permanent conservative majority" has turned into a nightmare for him, only two years after he said it. That's hubris for you. Professional republicans are corrupt to the core, smarmy, cheating, and lying warmongers (though I think there are a lot of mom and pop republicans who are fairly decent and simply too naive to understand what their party has done to them.)

Republicans do not make us safer. They make us less safe, but then lie to us about our safety. And idiots like you believe their lies and believe that somehow we're protected. The world is less safe now, however. GW and his cronies have turned the entire middle east into one giant timebomb, full of millions of angry and homicidal muslims. They have fueled terrorism in England, Spain, France, etc. That was almost entirely the republicans' doing. There was an alternative, a few years ago: invest in the middle east, create populations that understood and wanted democracy. A democratic plan.

The problem now is that GW has SO THOROUGHLY screwed things up that there may be no recovery. Iraq is probably lost to theocracy, and warlords are coming back to Afghanistan. George W Bush's administration are like a naive children when it comes to understanding how the world works. 000 American soldiers and 150,000 Iraqis are dead because of him. But people.....idiots.....like you still bluster about how the Republicans are protecting us. I suggest you read a bit more widely and listen to other people for once.

Booo!

People should only be allowed to post what they really think. Or how will we ever know who to run out of the forum with flaming fire brands?

have to disagree there, they know exactly what they are doing. They make a mint out of wars & oil & fear derived from wars. The worrying thing is that quite a few of them believe in the rapture & are determind to make it happen. So by the chaos they create they knowingly prevail economically, politically & religiously. evil cunts

Without strong Republican leadership combatting terrorist cells in our midst and overseas, the threat will succeed. We've succeeded in building up our defenses, let's not vote them away.

I'm voting Republican to protect our homeland security AND the moral fabric of our society.

Liberalism might be the popular fad of easygoing laissez-faire, but it takes guts and focus to protect the nation.
If only you could remove yourself from your position and look at yourself from without for a bit, you might see what the rest of the world and most of the intelligent people in America have come to see, and that is that America has become fear motivated and the Republican/Bush administration is using this fear to push and adopt their own agenda's, pushing oil prices high because it suits their pockets.

At least the tide is turning and people have started to see Bush as the selfish, self serving bottom feeder that he is. There are many ways to improve your security situation, and all of the weapons and fear in the world are not part of the solution.

Actually I was watching an interview on telly here last night with the former Premier of New South Wales (the state Sydney's in )

I mentioned some of it here

but one of his comments - as a politician who has spoken to and dealt with these people - was that the neo-cons really did have this fantasy in 2003 that they would go to Iraq and be welcomed with flowers for getting rid of Saddam and they had absolutely no concept whatsoever about the tribal histories and all sorts of other things that make up Iraqi society that have made it impossible, and then Iraq would become like one of the other sucessful Arab states Like UAE etc - prosperous, and and syria, jordan etc would all think "gee, Iraq sure has turned out swell, lets do the same"
