Mixing turntables into ableton?

Another question - sorry i am full of them as this is such a new program to me but everything seems so interesting i am wanting to lap it all up.

Is it possible for me to run my Technics / cdj - Mixer - into ableton? Can ableton aswell as beatmatching mp3s etc can it beat match the input from my decks? so in thery i cud beatmatch mp3s with my vinly though ableton?

is that possible?

we have been doing it like this for about a year now.
Created a spooky picture since it is worth a thousand words; for everyone that always asks. The clocks are just Simple Delay's where you assign a midi controller to the delay time value in millisecond. They are centered at usually about 64 millisecond and with a min/max set to 1 and 128. So for the sligtest fader movement you get 1 millisecond worth of nudging. makes syncing really dumb even for me!

the idea Patch is to add a little delay into the computer, and out of the computer. changing those delays on the fly is easy and similar to nudging a tt. if you keep increasing a delay, then your tt needs to be sped up and vice versa. they are just interresting little controls if find make it easy on my little brain.

phasing two similar tracks also becomes easy as you can always come back exactly where you were by returning to the previous delay time.

the 2 separate delays is for phasing the sound from the analog gear with the computer independently of having ableton's sounds shift in relation to a tt. makes for alot of possible things to play with.

the soundbite micro's are an absolute waste of time, i bought one and its completely unuseable. simply isnt precise enough to mix with, much easier just setting your tempo to a midi controller and riding the pitch like you would with a normal turntable.
