Gregor - I sent an email to [email protected] about the problem, and I attached a project that displayed the bug as well as a non-buggy project as well... should I send it to you too?
AU presets & saving settings with project
i confirm this in live 5 too. I just noticed it in a session where i was using a UAD-1 plug as AU, mod/phaser: i loaded it as factory preset, and totaly chaged the parameters afterwards and saved the session, each time i open the session it comes back to the initial factory preset! This happens only with AU, not with the VST.For comparisson I tried to reproduce this in Live 5 as well, and it seems to be the same problem there.
Hi Vance (and all others here),
sorry for coming back to this only late. The problem you're all describing correctly has to do with AU factory presets only, and should be fixed in 6.0.2 (of course).
Kind regards and thanks for your patience,
Gregor

I just loaded some session i started a few weeks ago and it didn't save my settings of the plugin's that i first loaded as factory preset before tweaking them, all my work is to be re-done. I'm really pissed at ableton right now and I'm really glad i got logic now, cause producing serioulsly is not possible in those conditions. I think i will mainly use ableton for my live gigs. Instead of making new feature that are not that vital maybe you should concentate a bit and erase the important bugs. I'm glad to hear that this will be fixed on the next update. My track and work won't be though!

but the problem is that i'm working on a big project for some design thing and it include over 400 minutes of soundsscape and music in over 20 different session. I've been working over one year on that and some of the settings in some sessions are fucked and the next update won't help on those, i just opened those after a few month on other work and i'm nicely screwed.
