Song set features

Post by podprod » Tue Mar 30, 2004 11:04 pm

It would really be great if there was some way to create sets in arrange so that when 1 song ends the other would automatically load and be ready to pay.
I know this can be done partially in session but to be able to use long pieces and manipulate in arrange would be way cool.
Also on the same thought in relation to this would be neat to have more than 1 loop area being able to be set in each arrange window.
Need to loop and pre set measured 4-8..measures 24-28..measures 105-106..in arrange..
These 2 ideas would really make LIVE ROCK!

MAKE A PROGRAM?

couldn't you just arrange the songs into a larger "song", and you might loop the whole thing using the loop function..
I am hoping to have gotten onto your intended wavelength, after more than a year, I still am discovering previously unknown to me ways of utilizing Lives built in abilities. Let me know if I totally missed your point.

loops

My point is that we need a way to be able to have multiple loop points in the arrange..one suggested work around would be to have songs open in sets..yes session works great for single song pieces and looping phrases..we have been discussing the use with long orchestral oieces where sections within the long pieces might be easily looped within the arrange structure..thus being flexible to the song yet still having a sense of order for the total composition..
Looped sections need to pre set to be engaged(or not) with the already in place loop transport.
Having songs play in sets would enable the user to set different time signatures and loops ..Once again a workaround to including the changing time signature and multiple loop within the program proper..
I am sure other users would find this useful in many areas.
