Stupid Realtek Drivers

My Toshiba lappy's Realtek drivers are conflicting with the Layla drivers I installed- I keep getting an EAccess Violation error. When I disable/remove/destroy the Realtek drivers, the error goes away but Live bluescreens when I launch it! Is there some part of the onboard sound that Live just absolutely needs to run? How do I get it to quit checking for Realtek and just get with the damn Layla drivers that are so much better anyway?! This is driving me crazy.
