Join us on the main floor at Tekserve for a rare opportunity to discover the nuts & bolts of live performance using your Mac as an instrument, featuring a performance by New York-based electronic musician, www.danielperlin.net Daniel Perlin, www.myspace.com/djnronhubbard DJ NRON and a discussion to follow. Along with collaborations with DJ Small Change, Anti-pop Consortium member M.Sayyid, and DJ/Rupture, DJ NRON’s sound work has been shown at museums and film festivals around the world. This event is the first in a new series of concert/symposiums hosted by Tekserve, where working electronic artists come to publicly discuss how and why they do the crazy things they do. Running Ableton Live 6, Native Instruments Reaktor 5, M-Audio Torq with turntables and a host of other synths, DJ NRON will discuss performance strategies, integration of software and hardware, and the realities of working and touring as an electronic musician today. The screen of his PowerBook will be displayed on multiple flat-screen monitors so you will have a chance to not only hear, but see how he works in real-time.

Most recently, DJ NRON HUBBARD performed in Europe both solo and with DJ/Rupture and Nettle. His sound work has been shown at the Guggenheim Museum NY, TN Probe, Tokyo and other galleries around the world and film festivals including the Berlin Film Festival and Cannes.
