Live 6 Operator Demo Song (CPU overload)

Has anyone else experienced something similar? I just downloaded Live 6 and decided to open up the "Little Demo (FX and Operators)" demo song and my computer was CHOKING! I have a Powerbook 17", 1.5Ghz, 7200RPM internal drive and 2GB of RAM and the CPU % was up over 100% nearly the entire time. The tempo was all over the place, the sounds were crackling and choked, I'm surprised it didn't crash. What's going on here? Is this Ableton's way of saying to buy the new Mac Book Pro? What a bummer! I'd love to hear that my machine is acting screwy. Has anyone else had this experience?
