Simpel question? Start and stop loops with midi

Post by Roel » Tue Jul 23, 2002 9:50 am

Live rocks!
I've checked lots of messages on the forum but couldn't find an answer for my simple question.
I've a roland SPD-20 (Percusion module) and I want to start and stop loops in Live whenever I hit a pad in the module. When I set Live to the "midi map mode switch" I can select a loop and hit a pad, the midinote is assigned to the loop. So if I hit the pad the loop starts. But how can I stop that exact same loop?
Sounds like I stupid question but I can't figure it out at the moment.

Thanks,

Roel

there's a parameter to switch the way loops behave when triggered. double click the clip to bring up the clip view, bottom left hand corner you see trigger, loop, gate ect.?
the ones you want selected are 'loop' and 'toggle' to have a midi note start and stop a clip. the behaviors of all the parameters can be seen if you turn on the info view (small triangle in the bottom left hand corner) and hold the mouse over the settings.
