Pauses when activating SIMPLE DELAY when wet

Post by leejones » Mon Nov 20, 2006 9:27 am

I have setup a similar configuration to the Pioneer EFX1000 unit with Ableton. When using any simple delays, (i presume its same with anything else, but not tried it) you have to have them set to DRY b4 u turn them on. If the delay is set to WET then u turn it on, there is a slight pause in ableton? Anyone else get the same? Its frustrating coz i have to use crossfader on X-session to operate DRY/WET instead of just being able to turn on/off the WET delay...

I've reported it to ableton on when testing Beta but got no reply... :(

mate, i's assuming that by "wet" you mean "100% wet". so there's bound to be a pause while the delay captues audio, ie: if it's set to, say "16", then the audio on that track will not sound (it'll be delayed), for one bar (16/16ths), before the repeats start, right? is this what you mean? you're not talking about all the audio tracks dropping out when you switch it on, right?
