Ozone/PCR-1 headphone monitoring...

Post by Funk » Tue Apr 13, 2004 2:54 pm

I'm interested in the Edirol PCR-1 or the M-Audio Ozone. Both are a midi controller/audio-interface combo product. They've got only one stereo output, but I was wondering wether it would be possible to use the headphone output to use for monitoring/cueing when using Live. So is it a possible to assign a different signal to the headphone output, for cueing? Thanks...

However, you could use your existing soundcard for monitoring. Yes, I know Ableton say you can only use one soundcard at a time but that's not entirely true (though using multiple soundcards can increase latency and if they have different latencies to one another triggering things precisely or beatmatching to external devices can be a nightmare).
