New ambientish electronica with string trio

Post by XPM » Thu Nov 23, 2006 1:00 pm

Hi Guys,
I've just finished a new track called 'Concentration' it's up on my Myspace and it would be great to get some feedback.
The sound is somewhere between Boards of Canada, Plaid, and Bjork (minus the vocals).
I've been getting some good reviews lately on my other tracks up there, so it would be good to know if I'm keeping to an upward trend.
Thanks so much in advance,
Steve

Do you have a direct, non-myspace link?

I like this. The string programming sounds really fake, but it fits very well with the rest of the song. More what i would call downtempo than ambient, but not a biggy.

My only real comment is that the string parts get a bit repetitive, that's it though. good one!

Thanks for the comment,
The string sounds are shit I know, I'm gonna get a decent sample bank as soon as money permits. Hopefully with a bit of work this will also help out with the repetitiveness.
If you can bear MySpace, give my other tracks a listen.
Thanks again,
Steve
