how do I set time length that loop repeats?

My Church is doing a Christmas Cantatta, and I'm using Live to play the aux. percussion parts underneath my drumming. I've used a Clavinova for tympani and chime parts, and an SPD-S for some congas and such. So far I've imported the original song into an Audio track and then played the needed parts in time to the music, and then I just disable the original audio and am left with my self played parts. So far, it's been going pretty well, as this is my first project and experience with Live. I'm sure I'm going the long way, but I'm sort of self learning here, lol. OK...Now I am doing a song from the show that starts out with congas and shakers, and the original audio has a great isolated section of that, so I've sampled a one bar section, and have a loop set up to play through the song. The issue now is: how can I set this loop to end at a given time? Say the song is 59 measures long, and I want the loop to end on beat 2 of measure 59? I'm having a hard time finding anything that shows a loop repeat length. Any pointers are much appreciated!

I think what you are looking for is the "follow action" feature. Make a clip of just the loop you want, and set the follow action to be the length you want, and select "play next" from the drop down menu.

My apologies, but that isn't clicking with me. Maybe I built the loop wrong? First of all, by "follow action" do you mean the yellow arrow next to the arrangment position bar? And if so/if not, what drop down menu are you referring to? And while you're being so kind as to help out a newbie, any pointers on another issue I have, which is: the original audio wav went into Audio 1 just fine, and then I set my loop points, and recorded the loop into Audio 2. However, I don't see the clip in Audio 2's clip slot, although I do see something in the "track status" display, and I've noticed that I can't play Audio 1 and Audio 2 together by clicking the "Master" play button to the right of the screen. I'm sure I've got something completely wrong, but I have no idea what it is, or how I SHOULD be doing this! Thanks again!

The simplest answer is this: build your material in the arrangement view really helps! LOL My issue(s) revolved mostly around inserting audio and such in the session view. Hope my troubles help someone out!
