Ever gets to OSX.... I think the combo of Zero and Phrazor would kill Kore!

I'm liking Reactor on the macbook, but Kore is a joke IMO. I thought so when it came out, it never advertises features in detail in the adds, otherwise you would know that Kore can't be used as a general MIDI controller, and an instance of Kore is useless as a self contained rack unit to transport to other hosts like they advertise, unless you're OK with stereo out for all your instruments.... anyway, nothing I want to do with a virtual rack is resolved by Kore, and from your testimony, it's a crapshoot if it works for you at all.

If you have a PC, check out Phrazor, looks interesting to me.

Combine your Instruments
Instruments and effects can be routed in a semi-modular way. You can create multi-instuments using keyboard-splits or you may want to build up a reusable effect-rack library. The complete state of each track can be stored and recalled via MIDI.

Yeah that's my problem with it, I need it to be OSX.... I ran into a few sweet deals on Macs, and the only one that can run Windows is the macbook. Which leeds to the conclusion, why spend $130+ on XP when you will abandon it for daily use? and why waste teh hard drive space?
Phrazor makes me think about it though....... I've probably irritated the developer trying to get on his beta team for the OSX version!

or you could also try plogue bidule, which can yield the same results - albeit in an environment for almost any kind of midi/audio processing.

Does Plogue have a piano roll step sequencer? What interests me about this is being able to port from logic to Live without rendering or porting MIDI as a separate port.

Say you host Plogue as a VSTi in Live, does Plogue allow you to send 16 MIDI channels to that track in Live?

What about multiple audio outs? Does Plogue allow at least 8 audio outs?

Pretty sure it can assign keyboard splits to a VSTi, but the demo doesn't allow you to use the VSTi function, and that's what I would be most interested in using.

I didnt think Bidule did the same things at all...

You can rewire bidule to your sequencer host.
you can use bildule to host multiple vsts and vstis, making 'chains' out of them if you wish.

machinesworking & binaryb - you're on a mac right ? IAC & soundflower are your friends - and bidule plays nice with them.

of course bidule is an environment like max, you have to patch this stuff together yourself, whereas that software you mention does all that for you out of the box....

I didnt even check out the website for that software, just caught the jist of the functions it offers, and bidule came to mind.

I honestly dont have a single vst or vsti at the moment so I cant test this type of function out for you guys, I use bidule for simple midi processing. but what you are talking about is a big part of what bidule is designed to be used for. for 75 dollars, you cant really go wrong with plogue bidule.
