Any Direction for newb would be appreciated
Hello,
I am purchasing ableton 6.0 in a few weeks, and i have never even attempted at producing my own track. If there is any links, books, or people that i can be pointed into the direction of i would appreciate it. I really don't understand mutch about midi, midi controllers, trigger fingers...ah hell i dont know anything. If someone could suggest somewhere to look where i can get the basics and maybe get an understanding of some of the lingo; that would be great. I have a home computer that i will be running ableton on and an m-audio trigger finger that i have no idea how to use. Please....any help would be appreciated. If it matters i really enjoy techno and would like to start producing this type of music, but for now i just want to make any kind of sound. Thanks for the help gents.

There is no paper manual, but there is one on the computer. I tried to read it and i get lost. i think i just need some basic comprehension right now. I saw the thread about another guy asking for help, and i noticed that people set up links for tutorials/books/cds...i think i'm going to give some of those a try as well.
