verrry slow track resize

I have a small number of sets wherein resizing the track width takes and enormous amount of resources: 10-20 secs and 50% CPU.
During this time, the Live GUI is non-responsive.
Saving and quitting are also several seconds too long compared to saving most sets.
I removed everything, VSTs, Live effects, return tracks.
Everything down to one empty audio track, and it still does the same thing.
97% of my Live sets are fine and I normally have no problem.

Anyone else experience this? Has this been previously reported?

Live 6.0.1 on WinXP Home SP2
Compaq laptop with core duo 2GHz, 1GB RAM
