question on looping and warping

Post by djrevise » Thu Nov 30, 2006 11:17 pm

I am producing with live and reason, and basically I make loops in reason and record them to clips in live. I am wondering if warping a clip that was recorded at the same tempo as the project (no stretching or compressing)
will degrade the audio even if it isn't changing the speed. The reason I want to know is that you can't loop or use envelopes without warping so I would like to know what people do in this situation.
ableton 7, cubase 4, some plugs and controllers etc.
