question: how do I do fade in/out in tracks?

sorry...I know it's stupid..but all I can think of is physically drag the volume up and down where I want it to fade in and out on the track but it's inaccurate...

there has to be an automated and precise way

Read up on "Drawing and Editing Automation", section 17.4 in your Live 6 manual.
