Hi, can anyone help? have searched but can't find an answer to this one.
I recently changed the names of folders containing WAVs and clips but the clips are still looking for the WAV using the previous file path - the path seems absolute, not relative. Is it possible to change the reference WAV file path permanently (I know you can do this temporarily but I can't see how to save this)?
Am using Live 6 on a Mac. Any help much appreciated.
cheers

If it can't find it it usually pops up a box asking you if you want to find the sample/file. Do that not happen?willemaster wrote:Hi, can anyone help? have searched but can't find an answer to this one.

Yeah and also if you right click on the files/folders(?) in Lives browser then click manage file (Or something), you can bring up the management/search functions.robin wrote:If it can't find it it usually pops up a box asking you if you want to find the sample/file. Do that not happen?
Then you can search using this and re-reference the audio.
One more thing, in future use Lives browser to rename files/folders, it automatically references any changes for you...just so you know.
have a good one

Good point. I used to always rename stuff in the terminal (mac, yeah I'm a little old school in this respect) but as of Live 5 and more so 6 I've stuck to Lives file management as it's proving more usable.kineticUk wrote: One more thing, in future use Lives browser to rename files/folders, it automatically references any changes for you...just so you know.

I just wish I could convert a folder with a wav, asd and some alcs into a project now. It would save me some time in hand converting.
