7 ms latency..shall I just put -7 ms on compensation?

hi there... I am happy I finally got the lowest possible latency on a PC, 7 ms...with ASIO4ALL

my question is: this is so low it doesn't really bother me but..should I just put an opposite value on the compensation field or shall I do the procedure to create a loop as they say? why doesn't Live just automatically adjust itself to compensate the overall latency??

To determine if you should or should not enter a value into that field, follow the "adjusting latency" lesson in the program.

it this because the value to put might be different than the overall latency shown?

Yeah. It probably will be different, because the latency shown is provided by the audio drivers (Something like that) and the latency shown once you complete the "adjusting latency" lesson are the unreported discrepancies.They are two different measurements.
Basically do the lesson and ignore the one thats displayed in audio preferences.

I upgraded from 5 and all lessons have disappeared..I remember it consisted in creating a hardware loop but then...nothing...

can you explain me the procedure?
