record audio from sound card

Post by adidasguy » Fri Dec 01, 2006 10:23 pm

How do you go about recording audio from your soundcard's output?

say you're watching a video clip in a web browser, and audio is coming out through your soundcard, how can you get that audio into live?

Thanks!

FYI - In case someone else ever needs to do this, I just figured out that audiograbber has a line in sampler feature (file menu)... hit record, then when you're done, a wav file is in the program's folder....

Thanks!

download Audacity (freeware), install it. Set the input to "stereo mix". Play your video as you normally would, except hit record in Audacity when you want to record your sounds then export as .wav or mp3(depending on your encoder).
