I recently picked up a m-audio firewire solo, (Im also running an external HD, midisport 2X2 and an Axiom 25 all running out of 3/4 USB ports) & ever since attaching it to my new laptop, the startup procedure & overall "feel" of the laptop seems to be significantly slower...
Kinda disheartening seeing as how the laptop itself is a beast, but I really paid for stability over speed I hoped. Either way, does anyone have any experince with this or possibly VST or VSTis that are installed but not "running" actually slowing the PC down?
