Hi,
Try deleting your preferences, cfg file from that location, that should work:
# Windows (Live 4 and later versions): C:/Documents and Settings/your user name/Application Data/Ableton/Live/Preferences
# Mac OS X: /User/Library/Preferences/Ableton
Kind regards,
Amaury

if youre on windows vista, youre looking for the Users folder.
so try C:/Users/your user name/Application Data/Ableton/Live/Preferences
have you moved or deleted the pagefile.sys file from your C: drive, or changed your virtual memory settings recently?

No, it's not anything you download... it's part of Windows. To be more exact, it's the part of a drive Windows puts aside for virtual memory.
Go to control panel/system/advanced/performance/advanced. What are your virtual memory settings at?
