Protools and Live
How can I use protools with Live to make up for some areas that ableton may be lacking? Is it worth the effort with rewire or too much of a hassle?
If you have L6 you can export each track as audio and import in PT. I keep thinking about doing this, but honestly, the only thing I have used pro tools for in the past year is consolidating audio from old projects to open in live! Unless you have super nice plugs that are RTAS only.. or there are tracks that you have in pt that you wouldn't be able to open in live...I don't see the point anymore.

Hey Glu, how do I exactlly export each track from Live 6 without rendering each audio track at a time. It takes too long for me to do that in Live 5. Is there a way to render just once and have a folder with all my audio tracks separate from each other?

I don't have 6 yet, but the manual, pg 47 saysableton lover wrote:

The File menu’s Render to Disk command allows exporting Live’s audio output as new
samples.
Which Signal Will Be Rendered?
The Rendered Track
Chooser.
The Render dialog’s Rendered Track chooser offers several options for which signal to render:
ˆ Master the post-fader signal at Live’s Master output.
ˆ
All tracks- the post-fader signal at the output of each individual track, including return tracks and MIDI tracks with instruments. Live will create a separate sample for each track...
