trying to get na sm58 mic to work through ableton

im tryin to run a SM58 mic through my m-audio firewire 410 in ableton. i cant seem to get it any sound coming through at all. can anyone out there point me in the right direction please?

Have you made sure the Mic/Line button is in the right position?

You need to hit the Mic/Line button next to the Mic/Inst input to switch the active input from the Line In on the back to the Mic in on the front.
