Just a small praise to Ableton Technical Support

Post by wilxon » Fri Dec 08, 2006 10:33 pm

I bought my Macbook pro yesterday, i have configured it and installed live6 on it only to find that i have no unlock keys left because i used both of them when i reformatted my hard drive on my previous computer.

This morning i emailed the abes and it took christian 10 minutes to email me back saying that i was ok to unlock my copy of Live on my new computer.

I dont know anywhere else where you get that level of customer service.

Thats why we love Live.

Cheers

The other day a tune I was working on decided to corrupt itself/crash live every time I tried to open it. This tune was very important to me, as it was my main peice to play at both the Summer Solstice Festivial here in New Zeanald, and then over at the Solstice in Melbourne. It had been written expecially for these parties and had taken up most of my time.

I emailed ableton tech and very promptly I was taken care of. Amaury was extremely heplful with suggestions, and within two days the file was usable again and I am now all ready to go and infect the dancefloor with it.

Really really happy! Give yourselfs pats on the back Ableton. Like wilxon said, your support exceeds any other software company I've ever delt with.

Yeah, thanks for this post, it makes me breath easy. I was always afraid of the unlock key thing, mostly because of my experience with other companies. I've figured out that Ableton actually CARES about it's customers! It's that attitude that has made me a diehard fan of Ableton. That, and the fact that they focus on one product, include their customers in bugfixing, and, well, they get it right! It's so nice to have software that does what this does and is so stable!

When the second phase of beta testing for live 6 started, i was waiting to get the download as soon as it was available, to my horror when alex posted that the beta circle had been extended, it would not download - because my forum login was a different log in to my user account.

I tried and tried, requested password, tried and tried again (reminded me of getting glasto tickets). I PM'd Alex, he came back to me straight away and said "give it a few minutes, if it doesnt work contact support in the morning and i will add you manually to the beta list"

If that was NI the answer would have been Tough Shit - 3 days later.

anyway - bernd PM'd me and linked my serial to my forum account and said "ive updated your account, if you request a new password it should get to you quickly"

within 20 minutes from the start of this story i was indeed using Live 6.

These guys care about us - the users/customers.

They deserve the credit.
