I couldn't find many specifics on the site, just some pictures and overviews.
There are several peices and the PRICE has been mentioned to be around 220 usd/170 euros. THIS IS NOT FINAL, IT'S JUST THE PRICE THEY MENTIONED IT WOULD BE AROUND...............

I really don't know exactly what kits will be included, here is a list of the last beta......which I'm assuming is close.

kicks/

sonor designer 24/18
tama starclassic 22/18
pearl masterworks 22/16 (personal favorite!)
dw collertors 20/16

snares/

sonor designor 14/6
pearl masterworks 10/4 piccalo
pearl ferrone 14/6.5
tama starclassic 14/5.5
dw craviotto 14/5.5
dw collectors copper 14/5 (personal favorite!)

the toms are dw collector, sonor designor, and tama starclassic. There are several sizes to choose from! There are 4 loading slots.

3 hats, 2 sabian and a paiste

14 cymbals.....sabian and paiste, including a couple of splashes and china's.

there are 4 rides. The paiste 3000 is my fav, the bells and "crash" styles really stand out!

and two cowbells!

I'm just not sure if there will be more (or less?) peices in the final release....they have mentioned add on packs already.

One thing that blew me away personally is the responsiveness.....it feels allot closer to real than the run of the mill stuff.

I was just about to order EZ drummer (130 €, 9 Gb)
or DFH Superior (wich is about 220€, 35 Gb).
Now I´m stuck, not sure what to get now.
They have both multiple outs,
how is it with AD?
Does AD support midi drag and drop to Live?
Can you tell me how much samples are included?
35 Gb is awesome, but a little to much for my free Hd space,
9 Gb from EZ would be cool, but with a little more flexibility,
like Ad offers, but multiple outs are a must for me.
The sound demos have quite the same quality,
very difficult to decide now.

Oh boooyyy, I'll try to offer some help here

I'm not sure what you mean by "how much" samples are included. If you are refering to velocity, I don't know the exact number. I can tell you it's closer to bfd's new "jazz/funk" than the previous original bfd.

Yes to multiple outs, live and logic pro. Flexibility depends mostly on how well YOU are with routing  The demo should clear this up......

Drag drop is fully supported....er....asuming you have version 5 or 6 ( 4 didn't support true drag/drop)

as far as the larger HD size goes......I believe AD was recorded with 24 bit/88.2k sample rate ( I could be wrong, don't have every detail) but I know for sure ezdrummer was recorded 16/44.1k which would certainly explain a difference in size (although not necessarily quality)

I'm very sorry I don't have ezdrummer......I wish I had a side by side to give you since I feel ez is the closest "neck and neck" competitor. The one thing I have heard about ez drummer is that even though it's the little brother to superior, it's still quite ram/cpu hungry.....I don't have a comarison to give you, but on these two machines

imac intel dual 2.0 (mac)
amd 4000+ (pc)....

the results were damn good in comparison to bfd......which like superior is DEFINATLY a hog!

If you can be patient (which is very hard I do know!) try and see if the demo comes out next week. That is what they say will happen so It's probably in your best interest to give it a week and try the demo.......other than some "other" companies.......XLN has been very good at listening and doing what they said they were going to do. So the only conclusion I can draw is that it will not be some dragged out thing.

Besides.........they advised us beta testers to "spread the word......"........ditch the NDA's and "tell all"........who does that? I think it's a great attitude personally.............

Mucho thanks,
with how much samples I meant the size in Gb´s,
9Gb like EZ is ok,
but 35Gb for the DFH superior is simply to much for my available space.
I´ll wait for the demo then,
nice that they do a demo,
Toontrack doesn´t even let demo you,
you buy the cat in the sack,
as we say here.

gotcha......the superior or simularly the custom/vintage are very high hard disc/cpu/ram intensive.......

That's a good idea.....see if the demo comes out, I'm thinkin' most will like it

So eyeknow, no idea of the total Gb size of this product? Ballpark?

Are we talking 9ish? 35ish?

One other thing, and this is probably a dumb question, but, it doesn't just play it's own drum patterns does it? I just noticed that it comes with a bunch of drum beat patterns that you can chose, but it still maps out the individual hits across the keyboard right?

Does it go by general midi mapping?

Thanks for the info, looks cool,

Not a stupid question and the answer is you can do about whatever you want. Not so sure about GM, but if you use let's say, bfd beats, they will work. Although there might be some key mappings that are different.

I'm not sure about the full size. The last release was a download of 1.8 GB......I have not been able to get a measurment of the uncompressed size. I'm guessing 3ish? The final product may indeed have to have a DVD and then that could be larger than what I have.

It's kinda weird, for all the cool info I have........there are some gapping holes hun?

here are two new links. The first is a more detailed explanation of kit peices, what you can control, etc.

http://www.xlnaudio.com/index.php?page= ... e=features

And, regretfully, here is a new kvr link for an xln moderated forum. I hate kvr (the forums) but in case you have some questions this is the place to ask right now.

Playing with the demo now. wow.

I'm getting this as soon as I'm done my last exam on friday (out of eight!). Well, first I'll get drunk, then maybe buy it on saturday....

Only takes 3gb, perfect!

I love the different hits spread across the keyboard. For example six different snare strokes mapped out side by side, sounds ultra realistic when you play quickly and do rolls and such. and a lot of fun! The sound is incredible.

I wonder if there is a general midi map mode, As it is, there are far more hits for one kit spread across the keyboard, which is cool, but it would also be cool to be able to use general midi mapping as well.

Can't wait to get the full version of this....

Damn, "addictive" is right. I just want to keep opening it after I close it. But I have to study damn it! Man I wish the demo came out next week!

That rocks,
even mousewheel support on everything without clicking!
Must have for me.
