Reaktor problem

When I load reaktor into Live and then open an instrument within reaktor only part of the instrument shows and the rest of the reaktor window is white. I have to turn off and on again for it to show fully.
Anyone else experiencing this. I'm using the Live 6 demo.

there is some sort of bug with live6 displaying reaktor properly. i don't get a white area, but if i open the snapshot dialogue in reaktor then hide it the reaktor window expands but won't shrink back again. could be a similar thing. hopefully the abes and NI are looking into it...

I haven't had this problem with Live 6/Reaktor 5 on a PC, Dual Core, MOTU Traveler.

I have this problem also in Live 5 and 6. I think it has something to do with Reaktor automatically sizing its window. I don't have any science to drop on that tip though. Generally it's not the worst problem to have.

this has been mentioned before. its a bug that started after the 5.2 update i think. i get exactly the same thing...part of reaktor gui is white, so i have to reopen to get it fully. i heard that its better to use au rather than vst if you're on a mac. but i really hope this gets sorted soon.

i have it too, and i can confirm it started after 5.2.

Just started for me also, after a Live 6 crash after changing ensembles in Reaktor. Before that it was fine. Maybe something to do with the way Live saves it's state for when it restarts after a crash?

remember that the founders of Ableton stem from NI - I don't know it that has something to do with the fact that Reaktor is so unstable within Live (or that Live is so unstable when running Reaktor!)

Live crashes so often within Live with certain Ensembles that I tend to resort to using Reaktor within Logic Pro.

Ableton - please make peace with your old employer NI and get Ableton working correctly with Live (or is it that NI have written code into Reaktor that makes it so unstable with Live, 'cos they're pissed that previous employees of theirs went off and developed Live?)

dude, what magazines are you reading ? You might want to finish reading the articles before you draw any conclusions...

as for this bug, damn. I ordered reaktor 5 from the usa a week ago, via ebay. 250 euro including shipping, as opposed to the 380 euro excluding shipping offered by the european online retailers. Fingers crossed customs dont fuck me. The ebay seller said they'd pack it discreetly so we'll see.

I guess its not a show-stopper bug, but still irksome - shame its been around since 5.2 - I wonder who the onus is on to fix it, NI or Ableton
