help! missing samples for Braintease kit !

I'm trying to resurrect a track I was working on in Live 5 at the beginning of the year, have since installed almost every Beta of 6 and now the full version. stupidly, I did not "Save Set Self-Contained"

but now I have samples missing from the "Braintease" kit and just calling up that kit doesn't seem to fully load them. it looks like the samples were converted between .wav and .aiff between the two versions? i can't get those samples to open in iTunes to convert them back to .wav... i'm very confused right now.

I've tried downloading the Live4 pack and the extra Impulse pack from the site, no dice. I guess I should mention that I'm running an NFR copy since I work at a dealer - I was only given codes for the last few versions and not full boxes.

any help? thanks in advance...
