Surgical Tools: Vol 1, Live Pack for Operator

Post by scariaga » Wed Dec 13, 2006 4:01 pm

Just heard about this in the Live news letter, anybody have it yet? Is it worth the $'s?

Its worth trying the demo sounds on their web site first.

The various patches are useful as buiding blocks for your own experiments too. Modify and save them with new names as you go. Soon you will have many that suit your needs.

Its interesting to see how others put their racks together.

There are enough different categories and varied content to justify the price being asked.

The main difference between the free patches we have on the site and the patches that are in the surgical tools pack, is the level of detail.

The presets in surgical tools are made for Live 6. All the presets are racks and have macro's assigned to the most sound altering parameters.

With the "old" patches, we couldn't show you which parameters fitted with the patch.
This time, it's "tweak & play" for every patch.
It's especially useful if you make use of automapping that automatically assigns the 8 macro knobs to your controllers.

I hope everybody is enjoying the pack. We have some more very cool stuff and insane racks coming up soon.

Cheers

I've just received mine, very nice presets!
Pure fun automapping the macros with my remote SL 25!

Can someone post a link to info re: Surgical Tools? I don't have the newsletter, and can't find anything on Ableton.com.

Thanks.
