Hi folks,

a beta version of the upcoming Live 6.0.2 bug fix release is online.
This version 6.0.2b10 is free for every Live 6 user.

Please send all your beta feedback to [email protected].

Note: Because the version is in beta state we strongly recommend to operate on copies of your data only.

Changes from Live 6.0.2b9 to Live 6.0.2b10

Bug fixes:

Unpacking .alp package files containing audio files without file extensions (like .wav, .aif, ...) would not work properly or even crash Live.

Exported MIDI clip would also contain muted notes.

Undo for the deletion of a track in solo mode would not work properly.

If you map something for the macro controller (e.g. Filter with value 55) - the Filter value is set to zero. If you now do undo (because you want the old value/sound or something like that) the Filter Value is set to Zero. You have no chance to resume the old sound.

parameter pick up would make a great future enhancement..

don't know if this is a bug or a "feature" in every version of 6.0 so far...

if a knob in ableton is set to receive a cc midi button (on/off states), it's not recognized if it's set to pickup or value scaled mode. only in normal mode is it recognized. the only work around i have is to set it up as key mapping rather than midi mapping.

i've been getting an insane bug:

when i launch ableton live, sometimes it givees me the message "play back most recent script?" with 'OK' or 'Cancel' being the only options.

Wen i click ok i get the reglar splash, but it takes ages to load, and in the botttom left corner the status reads:

"loading event recording P1760..."

it goes through a bunch of numbers (which takes literally minutes), and then its impossible to click on anything. the mouse drifts across the screen, and then i get an error:

"Event Playback Failed. Event Recorder Error. Playback Stopped. Event (mouse up event@15067746) has unused extensions. (event sublist)

This is completely random, and i have no idea what causes it!!

Hi,

this is not a bug, but an internal tool to help chase bugs. Basically what you are witnessing is a replay of your last Live session. Just avoid the modifier keys while Live is launching and you;ll be fine.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't aware of these 'modifier' keys, but i'll definitely stop multitasking whilst live launches. Hey, it boots so quick anyway that this is no major setback

Has anyone experienced problems with the TAP function?
When I tap in a bpm Ableton crashes each and every time.
