Animatin midi controls to maximum value doesn't animate

I have a rack with a macro control set to 0. I'm trying to animate it to 127 by making a clip with the length of 1/16 (the quantization length) so I want the clip to switch the macro control to something else. So I write 100% to the macro control. Now, when I write the 100%, the red square isn't there. Every other value makes the red square appear and tells me this value is animated. When I also play the clip, it doesn't animate the macro control. Why isn't 100% taken as a proper value? If it has some other values too, I guess it's ok, but I only want to use the value as a switch to other value.

Oh, and if the macro control is at 127, it kinda works somehow, but if it's at 0, nothing happens. In my case, I have mapped device on/off-button to macro controls and I'm trying to switch them on/off.

Any idea why animating macro controls in a midi clip is described with % instead of direct values?

Hi,

If I understand well your description, I think your trouble comes from this misunderstanding: clip envelopes are relative to the actual value of the parameter they modulate, so if a parameter is at 0, a clip envelope will have no effect to it.

You must set the macro you want to ontrol at 127, and set the clip envelope at 0 when you want it at 0.

Otherwise you must use and automation envelope, which is absolute.
