Monotocuh not have customizable interface, anyway more features are comming, and soon i think the option cover all commons and more! things any dj need.

The version he use of monotouchlive have some troubles i fixed days ago, and i make public very soon for download on the page.
Based on some thing i see on the video i think he use resistive touchscreen, anyway can confirm yet, i ask to this guy for more details for make public.
I create video in the first weeks of 2007.
Anyway any thing somebody sugest , and can be usefull for high number of djs, can be added to monotouch.

The CPN Mouse driver and software have one big problem: it dont supports multible mouse clicks--- you can move two or more cursours at one time, but clicking at the same time doesn´t functionist (sorry my english is in the moment very bad-two ours ago there was a heavy party.. Laughing )
That means- no multitouch with cpn mouse - I tried it! Wink
I buyéd a "cheap"(218 €-euros) resistiv (resistor technologies) "to-build-in-touchpanel" for my old 17" (inches) LCDscreen, that was the cheapest solution at the moment, - I dont want to buy a expensive Monotouch Screen with a price over 800 euros, thats to expensive- I still waiting for Multitouchscreens........
OK now to your Programm:
As you see, I use it not for DJing, I will use it for Liveacts and production of Tracks.
And in a other online communtiy (a german language forum for techno music), I made a post with the video of your programm- all the people are very interestet in the programm... they had a lot of questions and wishes to the programm...like a user definied Screen- you know, modular:
(because the user would not be satisfied in no time:
the one needs 16 faders, the other needs only 6 and so on-
for me e.g. 6 are enough- because I use Virtual midi instruments, other people dont have only 6 midi tracks, they have more then 20 audiotracks- they are working with wav-loops...you see its quite difficould to satisfie all our user wishes)
...whats up now with...modular:
You have a building set of Faders, Push buttons, Rotary Knobs, and X-Y-fields - and that maybe in differnt colours.
This building set, should be locatet in a own Window...from this window you can drag the buttons.... And then you have a second window for the Screeninterface (The size of it should be user definable- because- some have 4:3 Screens the other have a cinema LCD...and other have two touchscreens side by side-and want to maximize your programm to it) - where you can drop the buttons an d fit it...
yes and the possibility to rename the buttons would be also great
Its not necessery to do that in the running programm, a Editor for the modular Multitouchlive is more then enough.
A Idea from me....:
It would be great:
When I maximize MTL (monotouchlive) to fullscrean, I dont have the chanche to minimze it -because the Buttons are hidet...it where cool to have minimize maximize button- so you can easy switch between- MTL and ableton live (maybe Ableton live or plugins are locatet under MTL).
It also where cool, to have a Fader or Rotary for a transparency controll of MTL- Maybe to see the plugins that you remote with MTL, or Ableton to see what track comes next.
The EQ8 Section:
The Balls should have numbers! (1-Cool, because after a time you forget what ball what does...because I use the EQ8section not for the EQ8, I use it for The Levels of my drumsynth (kick snare clap clHH oHH Ride Cymbal Toms)
For me the EQ8 is very useless, 8 faders would be better because to remote the volumes of your drumsynth is very important by a liveact or Tracks, its quite cool to have a small "sub"mixing console under the big Instruments Faders(for bass, global drum,lead, and so on).
A Mixing console would be better then the Ball-field- because in the ball field you can´t do the same like by the Fader:
Fader:if the Position of the fader is 0 and you will have the position 127-you must not turn the whole way you can dip at the top of the Fader and you have max. Level
Ball: you must turn the whole way - i know its physical not possible in a multible x-y-field- yeaaa thats what I meen with- "fader would be better".
I think you are a Dj, and for your Wishes you need a EQ8, a Idea:
Make a second function for this area- function 1-eq8, function 2-submixer- >>You have place for the additonal CFG buttons under the existing CFG buttons,-I think<<

....I know it looks cool, and in Ableton its the same...but for a good workflow the global Play buttom (I use it not for global play- I use it for ROW-PLAY) should be in the middle of the Navigation buttons (up,down,right,left)
- otherwise you must "seek" evertime for the Playbutton, (when you jump to a new ROW and you wants to Play it)
This "play-button-not-in-the-field-of-vision" cost realy a lot of time!

Rotarys should´nt be locatet at the border of The LCD-screen, because, when the Rotarys are on position e.g. 0, you cant turn to 127 in a single turn- you get simply out of the touchscreen- so you must turn a few times...thats pretty uncool! (as you saw in the video)
At last: When you are´n in the position to make a User definable Editor (because its not possible) for you Programm, then it would be usefull to make at least two version of your programm: 1.DJing 2.Liveactin and producing
more tomorrow...-must sleep-- there are a fiew of Partys in the next time.
....I´m still testing a combination of your Monotouchlive and the Remote Zero SL, still having problems with the midification of my Battery3 (battery and its automation sux und bugs a lot)

From now this its not feature i plain add, if want modular, lemur its the best option and tablet to midi its modular.
I not have on my mind possible project for make modular, this its really big job.
Anyway i think more about that, but i think i continue on this way, making the controller more fucntioanl and with more fatures.
I can add more chanells, its possible have 12 audio channels, and add just simple switch button for move from chanel screen 1-to-6 to screen with chanels, 7-to-12, i can make that.........why not ? : )

The seek make loose time, anyway creating and put all your things (loops or songs) in correct order help to no loose time.

Anyway, i make comment, resistive touch not its the best for use with MTL, you cna have troubels when try draw the eq8 balls, or other things, and all time you need make big preasure for not loose the drag.
With saw you have amazing soft and realiable touchs.
Anyway, with saw you have super big resolution and taht help, anyway this its very very improved on the version.
New feature added to rotarys, making doble clicks over the rotary knob, make the rotary reset to middle position : )

now a lang talk (hopefully not a monolog, and you understand that my Ideas are only Ideas, but I make for 6 years electronic music now, I used first Sampling programms, then I buyed more and more analog hardare, now Iám Midilooper and I use new Technologies- the 1900´s and its 909 808 303 SID MOOGs are over- now there is the computer, and it will never go away, I was always seeking for the best workflow, I was seeking so long, the most of time I was seeking, and I had not much time to produce tracks, I was just trieying the best ting...., I think Iám now in the positin to say, what I wanna have, is not useless, for all producers it would be a great solution, maybe I think not about all points, but I have some good start points in my brain, so I will try to explain

Ever tried tablet2midi? I tried it! Tablet to midi is a programm for PC-drawing-pads- not for touchscreen! (so @ the moment you are the one and only person how made a Touchmidiinterface and post it to the internet for donationware)
And if you want to earn money for your programm, you should really planning a modular Programm, in the way it is now (your programm) only a hand full of people can use it, if its modular - you can have a lot of Usersworldwide (maybe everybody how make electronic music would like to have your programm then) think about it! (you can be the first! because lemur, is not open enough - its to expensive, and you need special programms)
Yeah, about transparency, and minimize to taskbar function (and back to fullscreen):
I already have 2 Screens- and on the one there is ableton, and on the other is Multitouchlive, OK- but I also have a lot of external Plugins (like battery, vstation,microsynth,bassline,phoscyon...) I cant controll all that plugins over your programm (since its not modular
) I need for that sings a external Midicontroller (thats boring) - and by using a midicontroller you must see what you do on the screen!This Plugins dont have all place on single screen(on the ableton screen)...you know...and a third or fourth Screen is to heavy to carry for a liveact (by traffeling by Train!)
And Workflow would be garantet!- by a liveact it cost so much time to see on the other screens (ok milliseconds- but in this milliseconds you can do other thing like- to be creative!)
And one thing else: When you make electronic music only with VSTs, you have a lot of controlls (e.g. for a synth: a,d,s,r,filtercutoff,resonance, delay, reverb, portamento,waveform,detune, ocatveshift,osc levels....) you need that controlls to get into a creative flow- otherwise you can switch Preset soundbanks from vsts- and when you do "preset switchin" you will not get into a creativ flow- you will not get a feeling for soundstructure- you know - no audiocosmos for you.....
Why I tell this to you:
For total controll you need at least 2 Multitouchscreens, with Software like Monotouch (multitouchlive!) on it. A mixing Screen and a Modulationscreen for Synth parameters.
Yea and when you have that, you dont see your plugins and Host under it-
So transparence of your Programm would be feature I dont wanna missing.
Wy else: When you have hardware Midicontrollers: you must seek place for it on your workspace, in front off the screen- of course- in the View.
Ok now think about following picture:
you have a Notebook, and a second screen (transportable - for liveacts)
You cant place your Midibox in front of your Keyboard, you need your Notebooks-keybord! (ok maybe not for liveact, but for programming the liveact, and for @ home- and in the most of time you are at home with your babys, you are at the same time in internet, or you wanna write a book
-or wann programm a Multitouch live)You must place one of your Midiboxes in front of your Monotouchlivescreen, ok now the old workflow problem: The Midibox is not placed in the View of your Plugin-because the plugin is placed on the Notebooksscrean, so you hopefully understand, a transparency Monotouchlive is a powerfull solution for the future, and we want it now
And with a this feature a new possibility can get reality, you can then use the Notebookscreen (if its suppurt this-like tabletpcs) for a second Monotouch application like a "synth controll station" while you can see the plugins and the Host behind it, and if you want to change something, you simply switch with a button between Monotouch (minimize to taskbar button) and your Host.
