Live support team please help if you stumble into this post

Post by benjahzen » Thu Dec 28, 2006 10:45 am

I got my new macbook pro yesterday and live is installed, but because I have installations on my desktop and older laptop i am out of unlocks for live, sampler and eic. I wrote to support, but wanted to drop a line here as well in hopes that someone will run across the post.

what do i need to do to get up and running???

i'm out of town right now with the two laptops so any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

Hello,

Do not worry the support guys will answer you shortly. But let me remind the License aggreement: you can have Live installed on two machines at any time, as long as you use only one instance at a time. So if you already have it on two computers, you would have to deinstall from one computer to install it on your Macbook Pro.

Kind regards,

yeah, that's what I figured, but I didn't think that just uninstalling it would do the trick. so if i uninstall it on my old laptop, that will make it available to unlock on the new computer? it's that easy? how does that work? how can you guys tell if I have uninstalled it from my old computer?

Hello,

No, sorry for the confusion, but uninstalling form a computer does not reset your unlocks. I was just reminding the rule for you and other, in the meantime.

You'll have to wait for the support to answer you on the unlock, which should happen very shortly.

i have to jump in here and feel the need to say that the ableton support is the best i came across so far, many other companies, especially in the audio domain should take a great example from abletons foremost friendly and very quick support!!

thanks ableton.
