starting multiple clips at the same time ?

is there any good way to do this other than having to put them inline with a scene?

say nothing is playing, but you want to start the kick and a hihat going.. err.. is there anyway to do that? like if you could select multiple clips and hit PLAY for all of them..

maybe this is a retarded question, i'm not sure

Select the clips you want to play, then press Enter.
