If you just release the CC numbers used by automap, we could all setup up our controllers ourselfs.
Even better, release a template for loading into the "old" (non-sl) remote, or 2 or 3 templates if that is what it takes to map every thing. It can't be that hard for someone who knows which CC does what.
I've been expirimenting with my old (non SL) novation remote and figured some CCs out.
If the SL is selected in the midi preferences.
55-63 appear to be the encoders for controlling VSTs.
16-23 are the volume sliders
40-47 is track on/of (not possible to via this work around

But what are the select bank CCs? The work around is to use what is stated in the above link with regard to bank select and select both the SL and the home made controller.
But why not just release the CC numbers?
What are the numers (in the SL mode) for selecting and launching clips, and for panning (also not provided in the work around)?
Or just include a "generic remote" option in the midi prefernces and release the CCs that go with it. And not just for a few funtions as the work around provides, but for all the available ones.
