HERE IS THE AUDIO FILE
I have a G5 quadcore with 8 gigs of ram, using an M-Audio Projectmix. I also have a Virus TI and I know they are prone to have clicks in the audio, but the example above doesn't have anything but Reason running, rewired into Live. I even went so far as to unplug the Virus, and the pops still happen.
I have the most basic setup possible going right now to test this (one instance of Dr Rex, one instance of Subtractor), with a section of about 15 seconds looped. At random points, little pops and clicks show up in the audio. This has been going on for a couple of months, I figured it was a bug from 6.0.1 and have been using Pro Tools in the meantime while I waited for Live to have its first 6.0.X update (Pro Tools may suck to write in, but it doesn't have this problem), but it's still there and it's driving me CRAZY. This only happens when Reason is rewired into Live. Reason plays fine on its own, Live plays fine on its own. I rewire Reason into Live, the pops start. The second I turn Reason off, it stops. Soooo it seems like 1 + 1 = 2, something is wrong with the Rewire. I want to use Live again, it really helps me compose songs, but if this is a known bug that hasn't been fixed or is just being ignored, I'm totally done, I'm sick of dropping money to upgrade and waiting for fixes on a program that doesn't work properly.
*edit: the buffer is set to 256, although this happens at any setting, 128, 256, 512, etc.

I had similar problem. It was with my Presonus Firepod and was because of the built-in Airport in my Powerbook G4. Do you have an airport card in your computer? If you do, try disabling it. Not just from the upper menu bar, but go to network settings and disable the whole airport profile.
