The LD2 is right up my alley... I'd happily sell my BCR2000 for one of those.

But hasn't really the time run out for Faderfoxes in this age of auto mapping and Mackie Control?

They did very clever things back when Live 4 was announced. But the downside was (and has always been) very inflexible templates. Can't add a track, can't delete a track, can't move a track.

I would love to see a completely new Faderfox that takes advantage of Mackie Control and auto mapping. No template needed, easy track/clip navigation, automapping of track volume, pan, racks/devices etc.

That I would buy instantly.

no way, if it came down to it I'd keep my lv1 over my sl25 any day of the week. There is pure LOVE in that machine.. a triumph in function, beauty and craftsmanship. As long as I use Ableton I will use that controller.

what makes you say this? why is this better than a bcr? i ask just because i was going to get a bcr soonish but if this is better for certain reasons i'd love to hear them.

leonard, if you plan on using your controller in the studio mostly - stick with your decision to get a BCR.

Four of those LD2s would be some kind of sex machine hooked up to a nice analog style sequencer like numerology or a max patch.

ahh yes, but about 800 euros - she's a classy lady. Damn. I can get into the BCR's knickers for about 200, I just cant take her out on the town.

I just like the fact that it has such a small footprint. The BCR is too big for a backpack rig, methinks.

Faderfoxes are more reliable (except Doepfer which is the only controller I ever seen working right out of the box, no jumps, no issues) but I hate that you cant program them. While LX is irreplacable, I may give up LV it is ridiculous to be stuck with those Live 4 templates, but not even that there are number of other aspects, people who are ready to pay this kind of money know they do mostly, so must have option to program the hardware their way.

so am i to assume taht there is no thing like mouse control with the faderfoxes? i can add/delete a track with the BCR, and also maybe add/delete vst/AU (or more to the piont lives effects as that's all I use)?

Bit too fiddly IMO, plus its a shame there not USB powered...

I would like to test one out though as I have heard good things and the pricing seems sensible.

If that one with the bank of encoders ran over USB and had a couple of buttons to step through tracks to use in automap mode, I'd snap one up straight away to control my racks/mixer/launching clips.
