Live 6 caveats

Now every time you change your MIDI hardware while Live is running you have to quit and restart.
In my case moving a MIDI controller via a USB switch causes Live to lose all MIDI contact to that controller.

Multiple key/MIDI mappings.... sounded great on paper, I could assign a single keyboard command to two record buttons, but for some reason when you have it set up t where one is off and the other on, first press switches them, second turns both on, and third turns both off.

Hi,

What system are you on? On a PC, unplugging and re-lugging a controller has always lost the connection to Live. Are you on a Mac?

Also, record arm and Solos are not toggles switches but have an 'absolute' ON/OFF state, so yes, they are linked when controlled via remote: track activators or devices ON/OFF controls are not.

On a Mac, 5.2 could tell when the Audio MIDI setup had changed, and the relevant MIDI hardware would show up again in Live.

What is the advantage of linking them? not linked would make more sense as far as choices.
