Reverse audio clip?

Post by Darin Epsilon » Tue Jan 09, 2007 12:12 am

Has anyone already suggested being able to reverse audio files? Sometimes you can get really creative using this, and it helps break writers block.

It's been there for a long time. In Clip View/Sample, see the button marked Rev? That will create a new reversed copy of the sample.

What about reverse for audio samples in Impulse? Does that exist already?

What's wrong with reversing the sound that you want and throwing it in an impulse cell?
3ghz Pentium 4 (Prescott), XP Sp2, 1gig Ram, Dual Monitor with Matrox Millenium, MOTU Traveler, Event EZ8 Adat card. Also IBM THinkpad t40 1.6 1 gig ram

I want releasing a record to be automatable. Hit a button on a MIDI controller, make some dollars. Repeat.

Also, can I map a MIDI controller to kick a random Live Forum member in the balls? That would be great. kthx

Right, music software users these days have become so spoiled wanting outrageous features like sample reversing in a plug in, not like the good old days when music software users did every thing manually... the computer didn't even have a built in timer, you had to run the whole sequence by turning a crank... :roll:

Seriously?

I can get this done in three clicks all while monitoring in my phones so only I can hear what's going on. I can't think of a much easier workflow than that.

Poster wrote:suggestion for reversing a sample in impulse;

- [alt/option click] on the preview play button in a slot..
- the sample is now reversed..
- the play button icon (triangle) will flip, pointing to the left, visually indicating that the sample is reversed..

would be great..
