Noticed a weird problem. Not sure if it has been discussed. I was working on a set in OS 9 which involved setting lots of different markers on many of the clips. I happened to open that file up in OS X and none of the markers were in the correct places for the clips. Just standard clip playback. Any comments ?

hello kooky scientist,
if you still have one of these file can you do the following things for me:
Just making (under Os 9) a song with just one short of these samples and (Or you reduce your song so that it just contains on sample) save it as self contained and send it to me (a sit file would be nice).
If you do that we can check if we also have this behaviour under OS X.

Hi Alex,
I think I figured out what the problem was or wasn't.
Before I was not hitting the SAVE button under Sample Settings. That explains why none of the Sample Settings were the same when switching from OS 9 to OS X.
I did not realize that the clip marker positions are saved to the sample when you hit Save.
Sorry for the false alarm.

Mabye the chapter "The Clip View" in the Live manual is not clear enough in this point.
Pressing SAVE in the Sample Settings just saves the marker stuff in the analysis file (*.asd). But these markers are just used by loading the sample into another document.
Pressing "Save Live Set" saves also all the marker information in the document, so if you open a document, all marker settings are coming from the document.

did not happen earlier when I noticed it. I had about 150 clips in the pool. Many of them with different marker settings. I'll test it out again and see if I can recreate the conditions.
