Syncing 2 Laptops

Me and a friend want to sync to laptops together to get a live set goin.

Wat hardware is required? We are using 2 windows laptops rather than mac.

We have soundcards and stuff, wanna just know wat we exactly need as we dont have a clue

Help appreciated.

1 midi cable
2 sound cards with midi interfaces

midi cable goes from OUT on master to IN in slave

slave computer:
options-preferences-midi SYNC IN ON for the port connected to the midi cable
engage the EXT button at the top of the screen
slave won't play until master does

master computer:
options-preferences-midi SYNC OUT ON for the port connected to the midi cable
hit play, have fun
