After an unnecessary hiatus, Obese is back for another party at the Q-Club. Joining Full Phat for this night of all things house will be Troutfish and a very special live set from Droido.
Recently Glasgow based Droido has been causing quite a stir on the house scene. Originally one half of Glasgow deep house outfit Seinan, who had releases on Tronicsole, Deep Freeze and Worship Recordings. Droido is now out on his own creating his own brand of quirky, techy house music. Recently he has had EP released with Glasgow legend Milton Jackson, on the Parisian label Crack and Speed and also on Glasgow’s own Tronicsole and Droido has signed solo EPs which are due out in the new year. 2007 proves to be a very exciting year for this young man. Droido has promised to deliver something very special for us at Obese, pushing his machines to the limit and making the punters groove to his own blend of techy madness.
Having shown already he can rock the crowd at an Obese night at The Soundhaus late last year, Troutfish is ready to take them on once again. Troutfish has appeared on line-ups at some of Glasgow biggest clubs, The Art School, The Arches, The Soundhaus and The Sub Club. Having learnt the tricks of the trade and become one of the most recognisable names on the Glasgow student scene, Troutfish’s love of music soon developed into a love for dirty, techy house. Now located in Cambridgeshire, Troutfish is branching out to take his unique blend of fidgety tech house down south.
