It is just that goa/trance reference, I am so alergic to those, so if there was something of it in the d16 I would definitely get diarrhea instantly.
It might have other deficiencies but the trance thing ??? I dont use Virus because it reminds me of existence of those wretched stupidity.
Great that there is some competition we will always benefit from it whichever VST we choose, or getting both. I like the real analog better- revolution and second come digital hardware emulation with G2 which I use for more aggresive stuff. Similarly like with Revolution I like that directness of hardware control, on 303 or revo is even better because is hardwired no midi, so slightest movement results in incredibly intense sonic results.
Even with VST ABL or d16 controller is a must, SL seems to be good choice.

The main issue at hand is getting developers to start including higher resolution in their hosts. The plugins and controllers are just waiting for that update.
Then we could get much better control. Because the 0-127 limitation really bugs me to no end.
Only Ableton and the Props need to come up with something like OSC (or OSC), to make the rest follow (if the rest don't have it included already).
It would be neat to not have "stepping" in your sweeps.
I'm looking forward to that day.

As a paid and registered user of Bassline, I'm still waiting for my upgrade advice email to be sent out to me. While searching I stumbled on a site where you could download Bassline 2 ready to go for nothing. :( (for members of this particular dodgy site only)
Go figure! Still waiting.......

Users that purchased ABL1 after Oct 1st, 2006 will receive the upgrade for free provided they follow the instructions in the e-mail sent out.

Since it takes a while for the mail server to send out all the mails please allow a few days before contacting support about not receiving your upgrade offer yet. If you have changed your e-mail adress now is a good time to update it, which you can do yourself at www.shareit.com/ccc (My Account).

Oh thanks Hoff, I'm not really complaining and I've seen the post from Mike. I was just wondering how some guys could get hold of a copy of Bassline 2 for free, when a registered user can't even get an update yet.
Wonders of the internet.

Sibanger,

The newsletter service is down. I'm as frustrated about this as everyone else. I'm going to prove an alternative upgrade path for existing users on our site this evening. We'll sort it one way or the other.

Meanwhile I haven't handed out anything for free, beta testers that have done a good job (Hoffman aways finds weird bugs, I think there is some kind of sorcery involved) get to keep their beta licenses..

Best regards,

Mike Janney
