Is it possible to reverse the direction of an audio clip on the fly?

yes press the reverse button then keep on pressing it until your happy

There's a couple of good VSTs for this. Try:

Reversinator
Temposyncreverse
Backman

Suppatrigga is possibly wortha go too...

I use the backman.. its great, doesn't cause any glitches and reverses instantly in a live situation

thanks guys....
the reverse button doesnt quite cut it.(flips the whole sample...doesnt just reverse from point...not useful live)
I tried the other plugins...well the 2 mac ones anyway...they're kinda funky
not really just a straight forward reverse function.
I'm surprised this isnt just a basic function built in
