I'm wondering if there is a way to map my floor controller directly to a key function ...like "ENTER"..without using a midi translator.
It seems like a rather obvious thing to have built into the program.
I'm in 5.2....does 6 change any of this...I'm aware that you can have 1 midi message mapped tp multiple controllers ...but thats not what I'm looking for.
Basically the midi translator is an extra link...
It must be posssible to link midi messages directly to the cursor keys or enter or delete????
anyone

I've read a post that says you can do it by using the MACKIE control...but I cant quite figure out what that means.....do you just look up the mackie protocol and set your pedal to send those messages???

Oh, you might be able to.
Search for mackie control emulation on ere, i think it's the post by Machinate. You're basically just setting up your controller so Ableton thinks it's a Mackie control desk.
